Women and Girls in Astronomy Project
The IAU will celebrate Women and Girls in Astronomy throughout 2019 through the organisation of public outreach events and a contest for event organizers.

The "Inspiring Stars" Global Project aims to broaden the horizons of children, parents, teachers, and astronomers by showcasing assistive research tools and inclusive practices related to astronomy research, communication, and development.

IAU Symposium: Astronomy for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
The IAU Symposia: “Astronomy for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion” is planned for November 12-15, 2019, hosted by the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) – Mitaka Campus, in Tokyo, Japan.
